Movie Review: Kick-Ass

I saw this way too long ago. Sorry it's been in the can for so long.  Please to enjoy the review and go see this movie!

Rarely does a film capture the magical and viral nature of the internet. Films nearly always get it wrong (see Polanski’s The Ghost Writer where the main character finds out the twist to the entire film after two minutes of onscreen Googling). Browsers are too basic or the whole interface is so far-fetched it’s laughable. But online social networks play a major role in the film adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book “Kick-Ass,” directed by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake) which hit theaters this past weekend. They didn’t just get the internet down, it’s the linchpin of a far out and very refreshing superhero tale. And just as the comic book’s cover proclaimed, the film is filled with “Sickening violence: Just the way you like it!”
